eZED are experts in straw bale construction. Director Paula Hugens has worked in straw bale construction since her first project in 2012. Director Paul Jaquin has worked in panelised straw bale construction since 2014. eZED have developed many bespoke details for straw bale construction, and have pioneered the use of prefabricated straw bale builds in New Zealand.

We work with established contractors and owner builders, and can provide Passivehouse detailing for straw bale construction.

eZED have worked with many different type of straw bale construction, from traditional ‘buck and beam’ through to fully prefabricated factory produced panels.

We work with owner builders and with established straw bale contractors such as Hiberna Modular to provide a range of structural options for straw bale builds.
